Dr Kapadia has expertise in the assessment and management of most psychiatric conditions affecting adults of working age, with substantial experience in perinatal psychiatry, medical psychotherapy, women’s mental health, and general adult psychiatry. Dr Kapadia integrates psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, and medical skills to provide a psychologically oriented understanding of patients’ difficulties. He is also one of a handful of psychiatric experts trained in the delivery of psychological interventions, enabling him to make thorough and appropriate recommendations for the most suitable treatment. Dr Kapadia has spent over 10 years working within Perinatal Psychiatry and is therefore especially in demand for comment on the psychiatric sequalae of obstetric negligence cases involving maternal injury, stillbirth, neonatal death and birth trauma.

Professor Verinder Prasher

Professor Verinder “Vee” Prasher is a consultant and academic research psychiatrist specialising in neurodevelopmental psychiatry (learning disability). For 35 years, Professor Prasher has worked as an NHS Consultant in Learning Disability and is currently employed as Visiting Professor of Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry at Liverpool John Moore University. He integrates psychiatric, neurological, research, and general medicine skills to provide a comprehensive and scientific literature-based understanding of patients’ difficulties.
Professor Prasher is an experienced academic, with a publishing catalogue of 14 textbooks and over 200 research articles. He is a leading world expert on ageing and physical health in adults with Down Syndrome.
Professor Prasher specialises in commenting on cases where the Claimant has a developmental disorder or learning disability, providing tailored assessment, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for individuals across the lifespan (birth to older adulthood).

Dr Gary Wannan
Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Clinical experience
Dr Wannan has expertise in treating children and young people within both community and in-patient settings. He has significant experience in psychosis, autism, learning disability, eating disorders, deaf services and parental mental health (where a child is affected by their carer’s mental illness). He has significant experience of working with children who have experienced trauma, having provided care and treatment to families following the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Dr Nicholas Taylor is a consultant forensic psychiatrist with 23 years of psychiatry experience. In his clinical practice, he has worked for many years with men and women who have histories of significant trauma and the psychiatric consequences of this, adopting a psychologically-informed approach to assessment and treatment. He has expertise in the assessment and management of most psychiatric conditions affecting working-age and older adults, with substantial experience in mental illness, specialist personality disorder services and specialist services for women, including as the Responsible Clinician for one of three Women in Enhanced Medium Secure Services (WEMSS) services nationally.

Dr Singh is a consultant psychiatrist with a special interest in Neuropsychiatry. She has experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with severe and complex mental health disorders including depression, schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorder; as well as patients with complex neuropsychiatric, physical and mental health issues such as epilepsy, sleep disorders and functional movement disorders. Dr Singh is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu.

Dr Harsh is a consultant forensic psychiatrist with 21 years’ psychiatry experience. He is a highly skilled clinician trained to provide and deliver expert clinical care and leadership, ensuring the delivery of high quality care for patients. In his clinical practice, Dr Harsh provides holistic and compassionate care for individuals with complex treatment needs, often arising out of serious traumatic life experiences, drugs and alcohol use, and personality disorder. He has completed a Master’s degree in forensic mental health studies, with a thesis on the management of mentally disordered sex offenders.
